Book Exchange
Welcome to the library! Your child will be visiting the library once a week during a "book exchange". This is when he or she will select a new book to be checked out and taken home. The library has the following procedures for book exchanges: Students are permitted to borrow a library book each week during their library period. Kindergarten and first graders may borrow one book each week. In most cases, second and third graders may borrow two books each week.
We appreciate your effort to return books on time. It is our policy that children may only choose a new book if ALL checked out books have been returned. We do not charge overdue fines but lost or destroyed books must be paid for. A notice will be sent home with the fine for lost or destroyed books so that the book can be replaced. If you have any questions about this policy, please email us at aoliver@ltps.org.
Library Rules
Students are expected to adhere to the following library rules: Please speak quietly. Only walking is permitted in the library. Listen carefully to hear your name called during the Book Exchange. If you have a question during story time, please raise your hand. Enjoy your books!
